Fairview Heights Elementary School. Hamlet, NC. 

This recently completed school project consisted of the design and construction administration of a new 1,600 SF Media Center addition and connection canopy.  Work also included site improvements such as landscaping, an irrigation system and a new parking and student drop-off lot.  Design considerations included building orientation, natural daylighting with reduced glare and energy efficient lighting and mechanical systems.  Work in the existing facility included an electrical assessment and conversion of electrical service from 240/120 v 3Ø to 208/120v 3Ø.  Additional design services were provided for the renovation of the existing school auditorium and its HVAC system, the existing administration offices and main entry vestibule to serve the public better and provided added controlled security into the school and renovations to the existing school toilet rooms to satisfy current ADA requirements.
