Stogner Architecture, PA is located in Rockingham, North Carolina, and has been in business since July 7, 1997.

Wayne Stogner serves as Project Architect on all projects.  He has over 36 years of experience in architecture.  It is his hands-on guidance of field investigation, design, construction documentation, and contract administration that has established Stogner Architecture’s excellent reputation.

At Stogner Architecture, PA we have three LEED Accredited Professionals, Wayne Stogner (firm principal and licensed architect), David Stogner (intern architect) and Fred Ford (intern architect).  LEED is an acronym for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and is an internationally recognized organization providing certification of sustainable buildings.  We at Stogner Architecture are able to provide building owners and operators a simplified framework for implementing sustainable solutions into their own projects.  The end results are buildings that use less energy, cause less pollution, provide healthier environments to live and work in, and thus generate more productivity out of its occupants.  Most importantly however, are the potentially very large percentages of money that can be saved on water, electricity and other associated operating cost.  We encourage our clients to integrate ideas and technologies of sustainability into their projects of new construction, renovation and restoration because the results are financially rewarding, socially responsible and environmentally necessary.

A. WAYNE STOGNER, AIA, LEED AP

            President

A. Wayne Stogner has 36 years of experience in the planning, design and construction administration for housing, municipal buildings, Corps of Engineers, Air Force projects, churches, financial institutions, medical facilities, and public schools.

Mr. Stogner has been involved in the design and construc­tion of over 400 building projects, including single prime bids, multi-prime bids, multi-prime plus specialty bids and force account.  He has experience as Design Coordinator and Director of Production of Construction Documents, Project Administration and Design/Build.

Mr. Stogner has a reputation for providing high quality service as is confirmed by his many repeat clients.

Fredrick Ford, LEED AP

Fredrick Ford has obtained a diverse knowledge of construction through his work with a large construction firm in Raleigh, NC.  He has been with Stogner Architecture for 14 years and has worked on projects for a local community college, private residence, recreational facility, mental health clinic, several projects for Richmond County Schools and several administrative office additions and renovations.

Benny Putnam

            Project Manager

            CADD Operator

Benny Putnam has been with Stogner Architecture, PA for over 16 years.  He has 11 years of Mechanical Drafting experience and has worked with CADD for over 25 years.  Benny has worked on residential, commercial and educational projects.

David Stogner, LEED, AP

           

            Intern Architect

David has worked at Stogner Architecture, Pa for approximately 10 years, eight of those years part time while still in school.  He has been with the company full time for 4 years and has worked on numerous residential and commercial projects.

David won 1st prize in UNCC’s Annual Charrette Design Competition for 2nd year students.

His interests include sustainable architecture, urban planning, and 3-D computer program designs (digital).

Richard A. Larsen

            Construction Administrator

Rich Larsen is our Project Coordinator/Construction Observer.  He graduated from Iowa State University, has a NC Builders License and over 30 years experience in NC.  Rich’s experience in the construction field has proven to be an invaluable asset for his duties with Stogner Architecture, PA.  During the last 23 years, he has served as Contract Administrator on many projects, ranging in size from $100,000 to $10,000,000.

Rich previously worked with Chisholm Construction Company, where he was Project Manager.  His responsibilities included coordinating field operations, site inspections, purchasing, estimating, change orders, pay requests and drafting in-house projects.  He also served as General Manager/Vice President.

Richard Bender

            Construction Administrator

Rick Bender worked as Stogner Architecture’s full time Field Project Superintendent for the Rowan County Housing Authority Modernization Program from 1996 to 2000, which consisted of building a New Office Complex and Maintenance Building, two Day Care Centers and Renovation of 194 apartments.  Rick was responsible for locating and coordination of subcontractors, field labor force, materials negotiated contracts, issued purchase orders, inspected buildings for completion and coordinated certificates of occupancy and key turnover to the owner.

Martha Campbell

           

            Administration

            Mod Coordinator

Martha Osborne has 25 years of experience as Project/Mod Coordinator. She has worked on all of Stogner Architecture’s Projects.  Martha has extensive knowledge of all phases of Administration of Projects and thoroughly understands the administrative paperwork required from beginning of projects to the required close out documentation.  During this time, Martha has attended a variety of HUD workshops including HUD’s Comprehensive Grant, Capital Funding and Davis Bacon/Labor Relations Workshops.  Her knowledge of all phases of Administration of HUD Programs and her understanding of the administrative paperwork required for all types of projects has gained Martha an excellent reputation with our clients.

Linda Blackburn

                        Project Coordinator

Linda Blackburn has over 16 years of experience in project scheduling, meeting coordination, contracting, reviewing licensing and insurance certification, specification preparation, bid administration, change order and close out document preparation and maintenance of electronic documents.  She assists the Project Architect and Contract Administrator in paperwork and client relations.  Linda has worked on all of Stogner Architecture’s projects.

Martha  Szewczak

            Administration

Martha has over twenty-seven 27 years of experience with Wayne Stogner in an architectural office. She is an experienced Office Manager/Bookkeeper, specification typist and handles projects from construction/bid  document stage through reviewing contractor and subcontractor payrolls and submittals. Martha has experience in all types of projects.
